That it's okay to put them in your bed. They won't be ruined, in fact it's good for them too AND eventually, they do sleep in their own beds. They really do! Well, mine do anyway.
That there is more than one way to raise a child and that it's ok for me to do it my way.
That when I mess up in this parenting thing, my kids will appreciate an apology.
I don't have to be perfect at this. I just have to steer my boat in the right direction and hope we make it.
That other moms don't like it when your kid does something better or before their kid.
I know! I know! I was naive about this one. Being around other mothers can sometimes be a lot like high school. I wasn't expecting that.
That my kids don't have to wear the best clothes or have the best stuff. That stuff is stuff no matter how much you have of it or how much money you spent. A cool $700 stroller that weighs 25 pounds is not the stroller for me.
That Chuck E. Cheese really IS the best place on earth. Hey! At least it's clean!
That I am good enough. That I am lovable. That I am worthy.
These are just a few of the things my children have taught me.
Thank goodness for my children.

Love the pic.
Great post.
And yes, motherhood is like high school all over again. That's the part I hate worst about it.
Yes, being around other mothers can be just like high-school! I hate that!
But you can hook-up with some pretty cool ones via blogging. Great pic of you and your kids.
Three of the most beautiful children I have ever seen.
Hooray for you and your awesome family. Those boys are GORGEOUS! (So are you!!!)
I HATE HATE HATE the high school crapola that comes with having kids. I don't remember anyone warning us about that part of parenting.
Ohmygosh, you guys are all SO CUTE.
You really have two handsome boys and they look SO happy in this pic - you all do. Very sweet.
